Installation

2. Install the required libraries

1. Open the command line (CMD) as administrator.
2. Run these commands in order:

   pip install selenium
   pip install openpyxl
           

Using the bot

1. Run wp.pyw.
2. Under “Excel File”, click Browse and pick your list of numbers.
3. Type the message you want to send into the “Message Template” box.
4. Press Start.
5. When Chrome opens, scan the QR code with your phone to connect to WhatsApp Web.
6. Click “OK”.
7. The program starts sending messages to the numbers on the list.

Things worth knowing

• The program only messages numbers whose status is 0.
• Once a message is sent, that number’s status is set to 1 automatically.
• There is a 15–20 second wait between messages.
• Do not close the program until it finishes.
• Scanning the QR code is required the first time.

Troubleshooting

• Program will not open: make sure Python and the libraries are installed.
• ChromeDriver error: check that Chrome is up to date and that you are using the matching ChromeDriver version.
• Excel file will not read: check the file format and make sure the file is closed.
• Messages are not sending: make sure WhatsApp Web is open and the QR code was scanned properly.
