Why I built it
Copy-pasting a conversation out of a chat interface loses the formatting, breaks the code blocks and mangles the tables. If you need to hand a thread to someone, file it, or keep it after an account change, you need a real export.
How it works
The conversion runs in the browser: the extension reads the rendered conversation, rebuilds it into the target format and hands you the file. Nothing is uploaded to a server, which matters when the conversation contains anything you would not want to send through a third party.
